We've known this one since childhood but tend to forget when grow up as we never want to confess this. It's FEAR.
Being fearful about future, the change, relationships and other unimportant things take away happiness.
What to Do?
Understand, future is non-changeable as we don't know what it is. Mind your business and live in present moment.
"Than" and "er" is comparative sentence is taught to us. But comparision is not good is never told to us. COMPARISON gives rise to other things like jealousy, agony and negative thoughts.
What to Do?
Have pride of what you have and what you are. Put all your energies in attaining success rather than comparing yourself to others. Most importantly don't blame your luck.
Again, this one is feeling complex of yourself. Which leads to HOLDING RESENTMENT AND ANGER. Happiness will never share space with the above emotions.

The easiest way is to Let Go and find space for forgiveness. Forgiveness leads to instant happiness. You can also talk it out, to atleast ask for justification.
Want of appreciation builds feeling of PERFECTION. Yes! Perfection is one of the reasons to take away happiness. You end up proving your worth while loosing your own self. Ultimate unhappiness.

Accept the fact humans are bound to make mistakes. Understand! Making mistakes is ok, but don't be at fault. Be a perfect human and not a perfectionist.
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY OF OTHERS' HAPPINESS (FULFILLING EXPECTATIONS). Surprised you must be! Yes, both are the same thing. Sometimes, not always making others happy takes away your own.

Now, the solution is simple! Promise and commit what you can do and don't go beyond your limits to make others happy. You also need to know that the people who become happy with your smile are your dear ones.
Now get this one serious! If you are into guilt, anxiety or have stopped doing things you once liked and are irritated very often, you are into NEGATIVE EMOTIONS.

Don't let anything let you down. Channelize your energy into something good.
Believing that bad will never change, all the bad that was happening earlier still occurs is what is known to be LIVING IN THE PAST.

Forgiveness helps! Know your pain and try to work on healing it rather than dwelling on these negative thoughts. Bygones are past and gone.
Gut feeling is one thing and interpretation is other. INTERPRETATIONS lead to overthinking. The most common way of ruining happiness.

Our brain is bound to think and think and think. What is important here is to be optimistic and put oneself in other's shoes. Believe me you will think rationally and act wisely.
Ignorance is harmful and SELF IGNORANCE dangerous. You are the only one to make yourself happy. So why not start from yourself.

Understand your needs and balance them with other's need, though prioritizing your needs first.
LACK OF GRATITUDE is being thankless. This itself shows all your negative emotions for others which leads to being unhappy yourself.
What to Do?
Being Thankful is the easiest way to make yourself happy. So, this one is a must do right away.
